FOOD SAFETY

Today’s growing demand for food requires a multi-challenge for the industry, which involves: producing safety food, with production costs that make food accessible to everyone and takes into account the health of workers and the environment.

Among these goals is vital to protect consumer health. To achieve, the industry needs to implement quality systems, enabling it to meet food standards agreed by the governmental and nongovernmental organizations. The implementation of these standards will be achieved with trained personnel and the necessary tools to obtain and verify the results.
Food safety involves the control of the production process from farm to home. All parts of the processing chain are responsible for the safety of these products. For the control of pollutants and waste it is important to have fast, reliable and relatively inexpensive tools.

From the use of DNA probes to FTRT (lateral flow), to other rapid methods as ELISA (enzyme-immunoassay), PCR (polymerase chain reaction), enzymatic tests, etc. The food industry have now reliable tools to achieve their ultimate goal: ensuring quality.
